The CCM&GS annual Gem & Mineral Show is the biggest rock and mineral show in the county.
Save the first full weekend of November. Come to the Show!

• Eighteen vendors will be showing and selling rocks, minerals, fossils, precious and semi-precious stones, settings, beads, and equipment.

• Over sixty displays tell the stories of the earth, the minerals and its gems, and the history of our explorations.

• Highly skilled craftsmen will be demonstrating their techniques in wire wrapping, faceting, cabochons, stone carving, and more.

One of the must see displays is the fluorescent room where hundreds of rocks and minerals glow in the dark and seem to vibrate in space under the activation of ultraviolet light (black light). Kids love it! For a preview, check out this virtual fluorescent display.

The CCM&GS Gem & Mineral Show is open to the public. Admittance is very reasonably priced. Children under 16 accompanied by an adult are free, and you can print a free coupon good for discounts on adult tickets. Gourmet food and soft drinks are available at the world-famous Diablo Dan Café.
